David Thomas
David was a certified Iyengar yoga teacher for over 3 decades. He has been teaching out of his own studio in Halifax since the late 1980's. From his years of practice, teaching, trips to study with the Iyengars' in India and other senior teachers in the Iyengar tradition, David has a wealth of knowledge to help students.
Carol-Joy Kaill
Carol-Joy has practiced yoga for over 3 decades, 10 dedicated to learning the Ashtanga Primary series. She attends gentle restorative yoga classes considering herself a beginner. She offers yoga for all ages and abilities as well as Prenatal yoga. She has an MSC in adult education and has worked in health promotion as a teacher and manager for over 20 years.
Catherine Guest
Catherine has been teaching inter-disciplinary yoga on the South Shore since 2003. Catherine's focus is in the Ashtanga tradition in the lineage of Sri Pattabhi Jois. She teaches yoga in her beautiful Sail Loft Studio on St. Margarets Bay. Catherine's special interests include chant (Sanskrit), writing, music, dance, shamanic study and native spirituality.
Tara Ennis-Beals
Through her recent participation in a 200 hour Mindfulness Yoga Teacher Training, Tara has discovered mindful movement, expanding her meditation practice to the yoga mat. She’s inspired to help others, through gentle yoga practice, create their own practice of stillness in body and in mind.
Colleen Hagen
Colleen began teaching dance in 2002 and yoga in 2013. She completed Level 1 Middle Eastern Dance Instructor Training with Hadia in 2009 and a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training at Inner Sun in 2013.
Carley Laman
Carley began practicing yoga in her teenage years and it quickly became her passion. She completed her 200 hour teacher training at Inner Sun in 2019. She enjoys practicing a mix of Iyengar and vinyasa yoga, while focusing on alignment. Carley lives on the South Shore and enjoys having adventures with her two small boys.
Anastasia Kaur
Akasha Kaur is a KRI trained Level 1 Kundalini Yoga Teacher. In addition to her KY training, Anastasia is also a trained Hatha Yoga Instructor and Khalsa Way Prenatal Yoga teacher. Anastasia has been a student of yoga since 1990, and began teaching in 2000. She lives on a farm on the South Shore with her two boys.
